Sadolin U-pox Micaceous Iron Oxide is a sparkly 2 component Epoxy Primer comprising of a base pigmented with Micaceous Iron Oxide and hardener. The Micaceous Iron Oxide enhances the products barrier properties and since it is chemically inert it gives a coating that has excellent corrosion protection and long term durability. It is suitable for all steelwork such as bridges and industrial buildings. It may also be used for coating welded areas between joined galvanised sheets and for patching defects in galvanised surfaces.
Surfaces to be protected must be free of rust, mill scale, oil and grease. Sandblasting is preferred method of surface preparation. Welding seams, rivet heads and sharp edges should first be spot-primed before applying the primer. When used as a "shop primer" a dry film of 10-15 microns imparts protection without impeding welding.

Use only Sadolin U-pox Thinner series 803-0218 for dilution cleaning of brushes and spraying equipment.
